Operation Homefront
Regular contact with family members is vitally important to the well being of recuperating military personnel, not only for a speedy recovery, but also to plan for a possible return to civilian life. CDW-G, in cooperation with Operation Homefront, donated laptops to wounded warriors at Fort Belvoir, Va., and Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Silver Spring, Md. The laptops will link service members, who have recently returned from difficult deployments, more effectively with their families through e-mail and other tools enabling near-instant communication. In addition, the laptops enable soldiers to work on resumes, explore opportunities in higher education and keep up to date with world news.
