CDW's Average Daily Sales Increase 27 Percent in January 2004

VERNON HILLS, Ill. - February 2, 2004 - CDW Corporation (Nasdaq: CDWC), a leading provider of technology products and services to business, government and education, today announced average daily sales for January 2004 were $20.3 million, an increase of 27.0 percent versus average daily sales of $16.0 million for January 2003. Total sales for the month were $427.0 million compared with sales of $352.1 million for January 2003, an increase of 21.2 percent. January 2004 had 21 billing days and January 2003 had 22 billing days.

Both corporate and public sector segments generated strong double-digit growth in January 2004. In addition, double-digit unit volume growth was achieved in most product categories. Notebook CPUs, notebook accessories, server CPUs, software and data storage unit volumes increased more than 30 percent for the month on a year-over-year basis.

The Company plans to announce February 2004 sales on Wednesday, March 10, 2004.
