Daniel S. Goldin elected to CDW Board of Directors
VERNON HILLS, Ill. - May 23, 2002 - CDW Computer Centers, Inc. (Nasdaq: CDWC), a leading provider of technology products and services, announced that Daniel S. Goldin was elected to CDW's board of directors at the Company's annual shareholder meeting.

Goldin is a senior fellow with the Council on Competitiveness in Washington D.C. He was appointed NASA Administrator in 1992 and retired as the longest serving administrator in 2001. Before joining NASA, Goldin was vice president and general manager of the TRW Space and Technology Group in Redondo Beach, Calif. He began his career at NASA's Lewis Research Center, Cleveland, Ohio, and worked on electric propulsion systems for human interplanetary travel.
Goldin is a member of the National Academy of Engineers and a Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He sits on the Board of Directors of Lucent Technologies and the Board of Trustees of the National Geographic Society. He graduated from the City College of New York with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
