CDW Names Jon Stevens Vice President of Information Technology

VERNON HILLS, Ill. June 27, 2001 - CDW Computer Centers Inc. (Nasdaq: CDWC) today announced Jon Stevens joined the company on June 25. Expanding the company's management team as vice president of information technology, Stevens is responsible for leading the activities of the information technology department, including CDW's development and e-commerce departments. He will also assist in building an infrastructure to accommodate the company's growth.

"Jon is a great addition to our team and we expect that he will make valuable contributions at CDW with his leadership skills, business acumen and experience with many facets of technology," said Jim Shanks, executive vice president and CIO. Prior to joining CDW, Stevens served as regional technology director for Avanade, a new technology integration company formed through an alliance between Microsoft and Accenture. Stevens was tapped by Microsoft senior management to run the Core Infrastructure and Pervasive Computing division for the central region, and he assisted in the development of other Avanade divisions around the globe. Previously, Stevens was a principal with Microsoft Consulting Services, where he worked with Microsoft's largest customers on their technology and business strategy.

Stevens holds a bachelor's degree of science in computer information systems management from University of Dayton.
