Steven W. Alesio and Barry K. Allen Elected to CDW Board of Directors

VERNON HILLS, Ill. - July 21, 2009 - CDW Corporation, a leading provider of technology products and services to business, government, and education, announced that Steven W. Alesio and Barry K. Allen have been elected to the company's Board of Directors.

The election of Alesio and Allen brings the number of directors on the CDW Board to seven.

Alesio is chairman and chief executive officer of Dun & Bradstreet Corporation, the leading provider of global business information, tools and commercial insight. Before assuming this role in 2005, Alesio held other senior leadership positions at D&B, including president and chief operating officer. Prior to joining D&B in 2001, Alesio served as president, small business services and consumer travel, for the American Express Company. He joined American Express in 1981 and held several positions of increasing responsibility during his tenure there. Alesio also worked at Arthur Andersen LLP from 1976 to 1979.

Alesio holds a master of business administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and bachelor of science degree from St. Francis University.

Allen is a senior advisor at Providence Equity Partners Inc., one of the private equity firms instrumental in taking CDW private in 2007. Before joining Providence, Allen was executive vice president of operations at Qwest Communications International, where he was responsible for the company's network and information technology operations. Prior to being named to that role, he served as executive vice president of operations and chief human resources officer. Before joining Qwest in 2002, Allen was president of Allen Enterprises, a private equity investment and management company he founded in 2000. Allen also served as president of Ameritech Corporation, after serving in positions of increasing responsibility since starting his business career there in 1974.

"Throughout his career, Barry developed a keen knowledge of how businesses use technology," Edwardson said. "His expertise and experience will be of great benefit to CDW."

Allen also serves as chairman of the board of Harley-Davidson, Inc., and he is a member of the Board of Directors of BCE, Inc. and of Bell Canada. Allen holds a master of business administration degree, with honors, from Boston University and a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Kentucky.
