CDW Receives Health at Work Awardsm for Holistic Coworker Wellness Program

Thousands of coworkers and family members participate in and benefit from wellness culture that promotes physical, emotional and financial wellness, personal safety

VERNON HILLS, Ill. – September 12, 2011 – CDW, a leading provider of technology solutions for business, government, education and healthcare, was honored with a Health at Work Award, presented by ComPsych®, for its multi-faceted "Achieve It! A Better You" coworker wellness program.

The "Achieve It! A Better You" program, established in 2010, focuses on engaging CDW's 6,000-plus coworkers and their family members in a unique wellness culture that promotes four pillars of health – physical, emotional and financial wellness, along with personal safety. The program aims to help coworkers and their family members achieve their long-term personal wellness goals by providing them with the tools and expertise needed to be successful.

"At CDW, our coworkers are our most valuable asset, and that is why we invest considerable resources to ensure they have what they need to achieve a well-rounded, healthy lifestyle," said Dennis Berger, CDW senior vice president and chief coworker services officer. "This award represents CDW's latest honor received as a result of our coworkers' proactive commitment to taking charge of their health."

To date, thousands of CDW coworkers have participated in the program, which offers a wide variety of elements and benefits including access to an on-site fitness center at its Vernon Hills, Ill. headquarters and subsidized fitness club memberships elsewhere. Also included are free flu shots, healthy on-site menu options, wellness workshops, on-site farmer's markets and a free smoking cessation program. In addition to providing services through its ongoing wellness program, CDW also rewards coworkers who complete health screenings and online health risk assessments by reducing their medical premiums.

The Health at Work Awards are sponsored by ComPsych, the world's largest provider of employee assistance programs (EAP), and its HealthyGuidance program. Winners were selected based on their wellness program's comprehensiveness, delivery, promotion, participation rates and results achieved.
