CDW Completes Purchase Of Micro Warehouse Canadian Operations

VERNON HILLS, Ill. - September 24, 2003 - CDW Corporation (Nasdaq: CDWC) today announced the company has completed the purchase of the operations of Micro Warehouse Canada Ltd., a Toronto-based reseller of computers, software and peripheral products. CDW, a leading supplier of technology products and services to business, government and education, closed the purchase September 23. Located in Toronto, the operation generated trailing twelve-month sales of approximately US$40 million and has approximately 100 coworkers.

The agreement to purchase the operations of Micro Warehouse Canada, announced on September 8, 2003, was part of a transaction to acquire select North American assets of Micro Warehouse, a Connecticut-based reseller of computers, software and peripheral products.

"The Canadian operation was an important reason we made this investment," said John A. Edwardson, Chairman and CEO, CDW. "As our first venture outside the United States, the Canadian operation expands our geographic reach. Long-standing customers in Canada will continue to be served by the same knowledgeable, professional sales team they know and trust. At the same time, we will look to grow the business, bringing more customers the right technology right away."
