CDW'S Average Daily Sales Increase 9.6 Percent in November 2004

VERNON HILLS, Ill. - December 8, 2004 - CDW Corporation (NASDAQ: CDWC), a leading provider of technology products and services to business, government and education, today announced average daily sales for November 2004 were $22.033 million, an increase of 9.6 percent compared to average daily sales of $20.109 million for November 2003. Total sales for November 2004 were $462.7 million based on 21 billing days. Total sales for November 2003 were $382.1 million based on 19 billing days.

Both the corporate and public sector segments grew in November 2004. Product categories that achieved year-over-year double digit unit volume growth for the month included notebook CPUs, desktop CPUs, server CPUs, software, data storage, and video.

"During the month of November 2004, we achieved a new year-to-date milestone by surpassing the $5 billion mark in sales for the year," said John A. Edwardson, chairman and chief executive officer. "To reach our goals of gaining market share and growing profitably, we have continued to build upon our core competencies, develop new initiatives, and increase productivity."

The Company plans to announce December 2004 sales and fourth quarter earnings on Tuesday, January 25, 2005. December 2003 had 21 billing days and December 2004 will have 22 billing days.
