CDW Announces November Sales
VERNON HILLS, Ill. - December 11, 2003 - CDW Corporation (Nasdaq: CDWC), a leading provider of technology products and services to business, government, and education, today announced sales for November 2003 of $382.1 million, an increase of 22.9 percent compared with sales of $311.0 million for November 2002. Average daily sales for November 2003 were $20.111 million, an increase of 29.3 percent versus average daily sales of $15.550 million for November 2002. November 2003 had 19 billing days and November 2002 had 20 billing days. The November 2003 sales include sales made by former members of the Micro Warehouse sales force who joined CDW in September in conjunction with the Micro Warehouse transactions.
Double-digit unit volume growth was achieved in most product categories. Notebook, server CPU, data storage, and printer unit volumes increased more than 25 percent for the month on a year-over-year basis.
"We are very pleased with sales for the month of November," said John A. Edwardson, CDW's chairman and chief executive officer. "Both our corporate and public sector segments experienced strong double-digit growth. We are certainly encouraged by these growth rates."
The Company plans to announce December 2003 sales when it reports fourth quarter 2003 earnings in January 2004.
